Sinhala & Tamil New year Celebration – 2025
The Colombo Lotus Tower Management Company proudly organized a joyful Sinhala & Tamil New year celebration for their valued staff members to mark the Sinhala and Tamil New Year 2025.
A beautifully arranged traditional New Year food table, prepared with love, kindness, and cooperation, brought smiles and fond memories to everyone present.
Following a brief speech filled with good wishes and words of encouragement by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Senior Prof. A. Chamaru De Alwis, all attendees came together to enjoy the festive meal in unity and happiness.
The event was a wonderful reminder of our culture, traditions, and the spirit of togetherness, making it a truly memorable New Year celebration.

Mr. Ranjith Ariyaratne, the Secretary to the Ministry of Urban Development, Construction, and Housing, along with the Chairpersons, Director Generals, and secretary of the Ministry, visited the Colombo Lotus Tower. Senior Prof. A. Chamaru de Alwis, the CEO of Colombo Lotus Tower, joined the discussions during this special meeting.
Hon. Anura Karunathilake, the Minister in Charge, also participated in this important visit.
As the clock struck midnight, the skies above the Colombo Lotus Tower lit up in a dazzling celebration to mark the beginning of 2025. The 20-minute show, streamed live on Facebook for audiences across Sri Lanka and around the world, featured a mesmerizing fireworks display synchronized with an extraordinary drone performance by Drone Mudiyanse.
Though there were no physical attendees, this grand spectacle was a gift to the people—bringing joy, pride, and inspiration to all who watched. The combination of vibrant pyrotechnics and coordinated drone artistry reflected the spirit of innovation and unity as the nation steps into a new year filled with promise.
